Gorgy Timing raises € 5.2 million for SCPTime

Gorgy Timing, Team leader of the Collaborative Project SCPTime which is reaching the last phase of its R and D, successfully completed it’s first round to raise the 5 ,2 M euros capital needed to start its first production phase.



The Capital raised is for 4M€ from Audacia, investor in independent family businesses and with the support of the Société Générale for the sum of 1,2 M euros. This means that Gorgy Timing can bring SCPTime to market from the beginning of 2018 and invest in its industrial development.

 Gorgy TimingTo prepare for the growth of this new activity in France and in international markets Gorgy Timing has reorganised and Nicolas Gorgy has become the new CEO. This will allow him to pilot closely the SCPTime project. A new R and D pole has been created in the heart of the Technological Pole in Grenoble. Since 2015, 15 new jobs have been created: engineers, technicians and executives. The company intends to employ another 10 people for its sites in La Mure, in Grenoble Europole and its subsidiaries in China, Germany and Spain.

SCPTime – operator of Secured, Certified, Precise and Traceable Time is a collaborative project of 42 months that began in 2014. It has led to solutions that diffuse legal time to secured computer networks. This digital time combines performance with a high level of security and traceability replying to needs for precision and cyber security in a large number of sectors. : Rail, Aviation, Banks, the Military and also Telecoms, Video Surveillance, Big Data, Connected Objects and Autonomous Vehicles.

Approved by Minalogic, innovation cluster, the 12 million euros project SCPTime, supported by Bpifrance in the framework of the investments for the future Programme 2014, brought together national industrial partners : Tronics, Automatique et Industrie, Syrlinks, Muquans, Eolas, and also academic and scientific partners : Observatoires de Paris and Besançon, l’Institut Femto-ST (université de Franche-Comté), and the LNE (Laboratoire national de métrologie et d’essais). Demonstrators were provided by Schneider Electric, the SNCF, Business & Décision, Sealweb and Tyleos.
