In June 2021, GORGY TIMING, a major international player in time distribution and time synchronization, successfully completed the installation of the airport display LEDI® Timer at Rostock-Laage airport.
The LEDI® Timer allows to optimize the processes during the turnaround of an aircraft, by visually representing the most important information for pilots, aircraft attendants and ground personnel. This system is SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) compliant, is operated with existing FIDS (Flight information display system) software and has a secure NTP (Network Time Protocol) synchronization.
GORGY TIMING is nowadays one of the few manufacturers in the world able to offer a complete and global Timing solution dedicated to airports applications. Created in 1974 and based in the heart of the French Alps in southeastern France, the company is a competent partner for worldwide projects in various airports.
“GORGY TIMING has been member of GATE Alliance (German Airport Technology and Equipment) since 2019. We are proud to be part of this great innovation project in the German market that allows to optimize, test, and present our solution in a real-life environment.
The program "InnoAirport" opens great prospects for our business development. We are happy to work closely with Rostock airport and the GATE Alliance and we hope to build up synergies between strategic German airports to implement our solution. Airports of Paris (Orly and Charles de Gaulle) as well as Airports of Lyon already benefit from our LEDI® Timer solution. Our company is approved by Groupe ADP and Vinci Airports.
I believe that many airports will be committed to a strategy of operational efficiency and improvement of the passenger experience, essential to the development of the airport. Our solution serves these two objectives by facilitating access to the necessary information for airlines staff and thus contributes to improving of flights punctuality.
Our digital displays are installed in front of aircraft to provide real time information to pilots, aircraft attendants and ground personnel: flight number, target departure time and countdown till departure. We have successfully carried out many tests in terms of brightness and contrast to ensure the perfect readability by rainy conditions or full sun within 40 -50 meters far from aircraft cockpit area.”
